Assistant Research Scientist/ Senior Lecturer
James Murphy earned his PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015. His research interests include applied harmonic analysis, machine learning, analysis of high-dimensional data, and applications to remotely sensed data.
Murphy has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Maryland, Duke University, and Johns Hopkins University. He was awarded the Aziz/Osborn Award for Teaching Excellence at the University of Maryland in 2013.
