High schools and organizations can partner with the Johns Hopkins Department of Mathematics to expand opportunities for their students by allowing students to enroll in online courses during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Courses can be used to replace an existing school’s course or to provide additional mathematics offerings, and can be taken either at or above grade level. Students earn four credits per course along with an official JHU transcript. Courses are instructor-led and designed to be flexible to accommodate all student schedules.
To see the full list of courses offered, please see the catalog of upcoming courses.
Partner schools and organizations can rely on the department’s subject matter experts to provide instruction, content and assessments. The department can support curriculum differentiation for schools if needed, as well as work with the school’s instructors to meet the needs of their students. Online courses have weekly deadlines which allow students to work on their course any time during the day to avoid schedule disruptions. Instructors communicate regularly with students via email, Zoom, or phone.
