Congratulations to Prof. Chikako Mese, who has been named as one of this year’s new Fellows of the American Mathematical Society. The citation recognizes Prof. Mese’s contributions to the theory of harmonic maps and their applications, and her service to the mathematical community. The Fellows of the AMS designation recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics.
